Bathrooms are often the scene of spankings . They are popular because of their soundproofing , the availability of brushes , water and lotions and offer the spankee little chance of escape .

Water makes bottoms more sensitive ! The surface tension of the skin is changed and air is excluded from the area of contact . Electrical conductivity is increased . Various " contact solutions " , other than water , can be used to enhance skin contact ( see HONEYBUN SPANKING CREAM ) or you can make your own from a mixture of water soluble oil or cream and water . Perspiration has the same effect . Using baby and olive or other vegetable oils is not recommended as they cause implements to slide away from the intended point of impact and make implements harder to hold . These oils are more likely to stain clothes , furniture , etc .
