DEATH - DO SOMETHING !

Recently the owner of this site had a chance meeting with Ron Hoare , a man on death row . Rod is a classic Australian bloke surviving by virtue of an external heart pump . He has been on  top of the Transplant List for some months . There are thousands of Australians awaiting various body parts . 

Without getting into a philosophical discussion , the concept of death challenges most of us , we are mortal . People dying because of a lack of donors seems such a waste . It is a way of giving life through often tragic circumstances . There is absolutely no reason for Ron to die .

In Australia , relatives of the recently deceased tend to not approve donations even when the organ donor option on licences etc has been ticked . By comparison with overseas , local donor rates are abysmal .
