This is our inaugural newsletter . In future , it will be in two parts , the first will remain as part of the main Spankoz site and the second which will be only available to the School .
There are some general issues which have been looked at and the following changes have been made :
The first of these changes is that the appearance of these pages has been changed to reflect the Schools classical approach to learning .
The next change is to the historical setting of the School , which has been previously advised . The School now spans the Edwardian years until the outbreak of the second World Conflict and , in some cases slightly beyond . This was originally done to distinguish ourselves from other enterprises , but the School now will use this latitude to provide a wider curriculum .
Australian secondary schools , until the mid 1960's , had a five year syllabus . We have therefore redesignated our 6a , 6b and 6c classes as 5a , 5b and 5c respectively . A new coeducational class 6a will be offered shortly for students born after 1960 .
As alluded to above , another change is to allow coeducational ( or mixed ) classes . This has been done to appease the number of girls who wished to be disciplined in mixed company ( or we suspect , witness the disciplining of their male counterparts ).
These changes will be reflected in the School's Enrolment Form , which has now been updated . Other Spankoz Australia products may be ordered using this form . The previous form had some technical problems which have been eliminated .
A restricted portion of the School will be introduced and progressively increased to include amenities such as a Common Room , additional stories and a private contact page .Appropriate photographs will be available together with a number of discounted goods and services from Spankoz and other suppliers .
Several students received extra curricular discipline over the break . Details of several of these occurrences are available to currently enrolled members of their classes .
