SPANKING ABUSE
This site promotes adult spanking with a passion . We have an even stronger passion about preventing all forms of abuse , in particular sexual , verbal and physical abuse .
Adult spanking should be with the consent of those involved . It should not be a form of denigration . Furthermore it should be fun , if possible . We realise that for some , physical ( and other forms of ) domination ( see POWER EXCHANGE ) are part of their pleasurable enjoyment of adult spanking . Consenting to a spanking may lead to a situation where the recipient , at the time , would appear not to be consenting ( say when half way through a " punishment " spanking ) . This is a form of overall consent ( see SPANKING SAFEWORDS ) and is the same type of consent as might be given to a Doctor or Dentist .
Full and informed consent may reasonably be given in exchange for a payment .
We do not regard one or two smacks on the bottom as a " spanking " . ( Although without consent this would be an assault - " battery " to be technical . )
In our view , abuse occurs if a " spanking " is without consent ( it occurs at a LEVEL higher than that agreed to - see SPANKING SAFEWORDS , or if a position of superiority , or trust , is abused ) , always directed from one person to another , occurs over extended periods of time or if any part of the body other than the buttocks are beaten .
So what constitutes spanking abuse ? Well , it is not so much related to the LEVEL of spanking involved .
If this man consented to this spanking , it is not abuse . Without consent , say if he was held down and beaten , it was a crime .
Just as this could be either .
Spanking may be used as a form of consensual adult punishment without being abuse ( see SPENCER SPANKING PLAN . )
Adult spanking is all about " informed " consent and being reasonable in the circumstances .

( Do not let them trivialise the matter , insist that they take action . Do not rely on promises from the abuser , insist that they demonstrate that they will not abuse in the future , or REFUSE TO SEE THE ABUSER UNTIL THEY REFORM . )
